DEE-DEE DARBY-DUFFIN* (She/Her)
I became an actor to tell stories. To see myself reflected in those stories. To provoke thought, spark ideas, tell the truth as I see it and most importantly, to heal. Art has the ability to be a balm, a salve, a poultice for the wounds that life thrusts upon us. Once you open yourself to hearing the story, the responsibility becomes yours. Art changes you. Art should leave you wanting. Want is the beginning of change. Be Open. Be Present. Past SLAC credits include Whitelisted, Passing Strange, and Mercury. Regional credits: Footloose, Dance Nation, The Clean Up Project, Caroline or Change, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Third Crossing, The Overwhelming, Fences, [title of show], 1940's Radio Hour, Women of Lockerbie, Lady Day at Emerson Bar and Grill, and For Colored Girls Who Have Committed Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf; TV and movie credits: The Housewives of the North Pole, Love Across Time. Dee-Dee just turned her gift for giving excellent advice into a wellness coaching practice. Find her at or follow her on Instagram @DeeDeeDarbyDuffin
